NSSA Registration & Returns

Ensure your business is compliant by registering with the National Social Security Authority (NSSA). Legally, all employers must register with NSSA, regardless of whether they operate in the formal or informal sector.

NSSA manages two key schemes for employer contributions:

1. **Workers Compensation & Insurance Fund (WCIF)**: This fund is solely funded by employers to offer benefits to employees and their beneficiaries in case of workplace injuries or fatalities.

2. **National Pension Scheme**: This scheme is financed equally by both employers and employees, providing benefits for retirement, disability, or death.

#### Requirements for NSSA Registration

To register with NSSA, you need to submit:

- Certified ID copies of any two directors along with their personal contact details
- Business details
- Bank information
- Employee information including full name, ID, date of birth, address, phone numbers, and salary

#### After NSSA Registration

Upon successful registration, your company will receive an SSR Number, and employees will be allocated SSNs. Registration must occur within 30 days of becoming an employer. Note that late payments incur penalties, and returns must be submitted by the 10th of each month.
